I'm pretty new to having all these systems on my boat (hot water heater; shore power; etc) as my old boat was a cuddy with virtually nothing on it. My question is this: What do I need to do to de-winterize the boat's systems for use this spring? I know that I just essentally need to run the engine to flush the antifreeze out, but what about stuff like the hot water heater? Do I just fill the fresh water tank and run the hot water from the faucet until the antifreeze is out and it turns clear, or do I need to drain it from the hot water heater itself? Do I need to open/close any valves anywhere that the marina would have opened/closed when they winterized it last fall?
