Hey Dennis
We took the pump apart, as well as the tubing going from the tank through the filter to the pump. One of the fitting was not pushed in properly. the top of the the filter had some plastic shredding in it. When we put it back together the pump was only 1/2 as loud as before and did not seem to come on until called for, We were not able to go to the boat last weekend so I can't say for sure we fixed it but when we got back to the dock the pump was cool to touch. Before we did the repair it was always so hot you would burn your hand ( imagine how much juice that was taking from the battery ). I will confirm and post after the weekend if we in fact did fix it.

Hi Terry,
I have a 2009 V358.....now called the V375 for 2010 and have the same problem with the fresh water pump coming on for a second or two about every 4-5 minutes.
Last year's boat was a 2008 V318 and we had exactly the same problem.......we had the dealer pull apart just about everything last year on the 318 and he could not find any problems or leaks. At the end of all this he replaced the pump at no cost and the problem did not go away.
Our new boat this year V358 was ordered directly from the factory and it is doing exactly the same......I have given up on trying to resolve this issue, it's either meant to respond this way or I have had two consecutive problems on different boat
