Spent the week up on Elk Lake last week on vacation and one evening we went out for a cruise. Saw the photo shoot going on for Four Winns and Glastron (which are now made in Cadillac). Mostly smaller bowriders except for one small Glastron pocket cruiser that was maybe 24' or so.

Was cool to see a helicopter flying sideways, 15' off the water at 30 mph. We followed probably 10 or so boats before heading in. The ramp was right near the house so the parade of boats went right past us to it. Pretty cool. Sorry...did not have the camera with me.

At least it was warm enough this year that the models did not hav to wear jackets to keep the chill off.

How many O/B powered boats did you see ?

Two Glastron outboards...no Four Winns. Can't say they did not have any, I just did not come across any of them.

Very cool...last year (I would expect this year as well), FW keeps their flagship boat at centerpoint on west bay. I've seen the FW team out doing testing on west bay in the early season...I guess they come up here and test as soon as the bay opens up and then move to test in cadillac once the lake turns there. I've never seen them doing a photoshoot though. It would be nice to get some insider info so I could take a day off work and check it out.

Did you make your way out to the Torch sandbar on saturday? I was out there with my buddy who has a crownline most of the day.

I did see somewhere where FW was trying to round up Models for there photo shoot. I was going to offer, but thought, they don't need a short, bald, fat guy!
