Had a long trip to Utah from Nevada, left Sat morn about 5am and 420 miles later was at the dealer. After a quick no frills splash down on Utah Lake, headed back to Boulder City, NV with close to 6,000 lbs behind me. Was a tough tow, but did really good. Had two really high peaks, one @ 6600' and one @ 6500'. Pulled mostly between 60 to 70+, but gas mileage was less than 8mpg! Got home at about 11pm, went straight to bed, then got up and launched her on Mead Sunday. Boat ran incredible........it handled like my old 20' Horizon! I've never been in a boat this size that had so much power. It is definitely 60-65mph wot (not gps'd yet), but more than anything, that big block really makes the Corsa exhaust roar!

Still learning how to operate the EVC, but so far it's pretty neat. It auto adjusts your trim by what your engine speed and bow elevation is the best I can tell. All I know is, I didn't touch the trim at all and it showed at -5 degrees on the screen when I took off and after coming on plane I was at +2! I took a photo of the two screens, as well as a couple of the lake, but I'll try and get her in the water and one of the engine for TX next time. Leaving again on Friday til Monday, so hopefully will figure it out a little better.

The vinyl upholstry is new for 2011. It's textured and I really like it. A major improvement IMO

I'm spent.

I'm amazed that people pull 260's with 1/2-ton trucks. Great pics!

Great looking boat. That new vinyl is very interesting... I'm curious if its more difficult to clean when dirt gets down into the weaving of the texture...

Thanks for the kind comments guys! Mike, even tho my truck is rated at 7500 lbs for towing, it did pretty well. But, from now on, it's 2 miles to the launch and 2 miles to put her away! But, as my family is from Kansas, It would be a dream pulling it on all of those flat highways!

As far as the vinyl maybe getting dirt in it, that pic is really close up and gives a wrong impression of how it really looks. If I took the pic normal, you wouldn't even know it was there. I gave it all a good coat of 303 and it went on really easy.

Another cool feature is that you turn the key all the way to the right and let go, and the engine will crank for up to 5 seconds on its own til it starts.

I'm doing a couple mods this weekend, figure I'd get it done early as I can boat through at least Oct with great weather. One is courtesy of Tennja, the catalina grill should be mounted on the swimstep and have a few steaks on it by Saturday nite. Tennja, those pics were truly a 1000 words. I've had the bbq 2 months waiting for the boat! The other I'll wait to see how much luck I have and if I'm successful I'll post pics.

I am jealous indeed. Hey what is that shiny stainless square a few inches from the floor in the bow area? Also, we'd love to see some pics of the engine.

NICE !!!

I am glad you could use my idea for the grill mount, that is what this forum is all about.
Lake Mead looks like an awesome place to boat.

Xavid:

That plate is a table mount. On the third pic you can see the one on the right hand side for the cockpit.

Sweeeeet ride....I like it....and looking forward to pics of that varooooom!!!

I like the look of the grills on the thru hull also....mine doesn't have that. It does look like the boat should be pulling the Chevy though.
