Greetings all! Tons of good info here I've already gone through... AND there's a ton more to read. 8)
This was one of our shortest shopping sessions ever for a used boat (for us... and we typically move quickly anyway). Hopefully there will only be good days ahead in the water for us. We've been married 17 years and had some type of ski boat most of those years. Our kiddos didn't show much interest until this year. The boat is as large as we could possibly go... but I think it's going to work out well. We'll be in the water with it later tonight. Bought it from the original owner (and surprisingly close to home)... seemed like a good guy and maticulous about his things.
I know new posts MUST have a pic or two (*self edit*... deleted pics and posted better ones below)... so I attached a pic for now... but more to come when I have it out of the garage and in the sunshine. 8) It's incredible how BIG this thing seemed when we first pulled up but not so much in the pics. My wife gave me the look when we pulled up to the seller's place like "what the heck, it's WAY to big"!

Let's see what I can jot down for specs....
-03' H220 w/5.7 GI & Volvo Penta DP (1st Volvo Penta unit ever... hope it was a good purchase)
-Black/White (never had a black boat before... but it'll probably become my fav color the longer we have it :D )
-Swim platform (never had one but REALLY looking forward to having this! My kids will go nuts as they love jumping off the boats)

Did I miss anything??? :)

Thanks to all who have posted already... looks like a great forum!

All the best!
S.....

Welcome and great boat!

My first Fourwinns was a 99 220 with the 5.7. I loved that boat and still miss it. My kids spent a lot of time skiing and tubing behind it. What fun!

Welcome. I hope you enjoy your 220 as much as I enjoy mine. Here in Australia they are pretty much as big as you can reasonably tow on a regular basis.

Aren't all side guides bent by the second or third launch? :)

Thank you... The original owner seems to really have taken care of it. He had a blowout on each side of the trailer on the original tires... He replaced the originals with much better tires. It's something I'll tinker with this winter when she's put away in my garage. Overall I'm thrilled with the boat... never had a boat this deep... it honestly almost feels to big (always had 19-21 footers that weren't nearly this deep). We may need to swap if with another FW's owner for a smaller one. Though it's clearly it's not as big as others here though.

Great looking boat! Black is by far my favorite color on any vehicle. . . when it's clean. Unfortunately, black is also the hardest color to keep clean because it shows everything. Regardless, I bet your right and black will become your favorite color as well.
