Luckily we stopped for gas and I noticed the issue immediately and high tailed it back to the tire shop we just passed.

Back when we had our 245 Sundowner, we picked up a large bolt in one of the trailer's rear tires. I was rather amazed that something like that would go into the tire. It may be that the front tire kicked it up just right so that the rear tire drove right into it. I also noticed it at a gas stop. I put air in and then went to the auto parts store and bought a plug kit. Plugged it - re-aired and it stayed that way for 4-years. Never lost a pound.

Glad your's was not catestrauphic!

Cripes, that's HUGE. Did you have to replace the tire completely? Good thing you found it quick.

It's amazing how that works. I once saw them dig a rail spike out of a truck tire.

Yeah, replaced it with a new tire.

Very thankful we stopped for gas and I noticed it. As soon as I saw it I knew I had very few minutes to get it somewhere before it was flat.
