I'm guessing around 19', has the SS graphics package, and an Evinrude ETEC 130 on the back. Anyone else seen the pics of this boat yet? My dealer e-mailed them to me today.

Here's one pic I got, for those that haven't already seen the new boat.

I like most of the design elements, but the rear seat back and swim platform area doesn't quite flow. The other pictures show that the seat backs fold down and expose some non-skid for reboarding, which is a good funtional desgn, but it sure ain't pretty. I've responded to my source to see what the max horsepower rating is for this model. I'm a big fan of outboards, and am glad that FW is getting some models going again. I wonder how much Glastron design is in the back end of this boat?

Put a 200 ETEC or Optimax or Vmax SHO and we'd be talking

Hmmm... I agree, the back seat area just isn't quite there yet... Wonder how it would look with Sunsport Seating?

As a salt water user, I quite like the idea of an OB - probably find the overall maintenance cost would be lower than an I/O with the associaiated gimbal/u-joint/bellows maintenance issues. 130hp is a bit light on though - 200 would be good

One nice thing, at least FW are looking at and trying different things.

It's only an 18 foot boat... a 3.0L is 135 HP... only 5 HP difference with the Etec.. and a WHOLE lot lighter there folks....

Glad to see them going this way to give buyers more choices and this will give them more sales in certain regions, like here where many people would like an OB for the reduced maintenance and ease of winterizing. I'd like to see them expand their offerings beyond just sport boats, in the bowriders that's all they sell...how about a walk around cuddy 22' with a 225 hp outboard, a good all purpose boat that you can leave in the water without constant maintenance...that's what most people in coastal regions want but more closed bows with low maintenance outboards would probably sell well in cooler regions like the Great Lakes due to the cuddy providing protection in cooler months and the OB being so easy to winterize, lets you extend your season.

And as far as the performance differences, keep in mind that as a general rule an OB is going to weigh 400 lbs less than a comparable hp I/O and if a two stroke will have better low end torque and can be run closer to flat out much of the time because there is no valve train wear to worry about.....400 lbs is a huge weight difference in a smaller boat...

Glad to see they kept the brown! Sure fits right in the color scheme.

I like what I see.

I can't wait to see one of these in person. I'm intrigued by the rear seats. I agree from a styling standpoint they look a little odd, however, they look very functional.
