Everyone having a good weekend? We had our first full day on the water with the new boat today. Rafted up with some friends on the Rhode River, grilled some burgers and dogs, and just enjoyed life. Thought I'd toss a few pics up on the board. Anyone else have pics from this weekend?

The day started with a visit from the beer fairy...climbed aboard this morning to find this at the helm waiting for us. It was a boat warming present from our friends.

Rafted up and getting ready to grill some burgers and dogs....followed by the grilling of the burgers and dogs. My pedestal mount for the grill is on order and will be in later this week. Can't wait to try it out next weekend.

And finally back home at the marina and putting my daugther to work...

With any luck we'll be back out there tomorrow.

We get out and about so much all summer long that we usually stay home on the 3 major holidays. Too many bad things seem to happen on the water on the holidays and camp grounds are usually reserved months in advance. Kinda chilly around here this year anyway.

My wife is on call this weekend so we couldn't go, but it's been pretty cold out this weekend. I got up this morning and the truck said 46 degrees out. The high today was in the low 70's, but it's supposed to get back up to the 80's tomorrow.

My wife was on call last weekend...our first weekend with the boat. Needless to say, we didn't get to spend much time on it. And she volunteered to help someone out so she's on call next weekend as well.

Weather up here in Ontario is very cool in the 50's to mid 60's. Also it has been very windy up here and boating on a great lake in that wind is not fun as some on the board have discovered!

Yeah that sure gets old. We had our fair share of nice weekends where we had to stay home because the wife was on call.

This weekend was kind of a bust for us. Today was the only day that the weather was nice for boating. We made the 1 1/4 hour drive just to find that the trim wasn't working. I was told by the dealer that it's a known issue and they have the part so I have to drive back up there tomorrow night with my trailer, pull it out of the water and drop it off at the dealer. They promised me I'll have it for next weekend. Hopefully it will be nice.

I shouldn't complain...it's been a gorgeous summer up here in the northeast. We've put more hours on our boat this year than the past two summer combined. Even today....we puttered out to the sandbar (trim is stuck in the up position) and spent a couple of hours taking in the sun just so it wouldn't be a wasted trip.

Ironically....last year....Labor Day weekend was the best weekend of the year.

For us we didn't take the FW off of the lift. My youngest daughter and I took out our flats boat Saturday afternoon for a spin but that was it. Today was her 14th birthday so it was family, friends and the grill today. The weather was fine no wind 90 degrees just not enough time in the day.

Just spent the day with Doc99 on the muddy Mo. We launched from Front st/Cheatuea (sp), making a juant of about 1/4 mile into the KS river at KC, then proceeded up to Leavenworth, Ks. It was about 2 hours upstream, and about 1 hr back. PP made cruising MUCH easier! We only saw about 6 other boats.... most fishing type, one run-about, and one houseboat. Will post pics when we get them off the camera.

The weather was not so good, but took the new boat out on Owasco lake anyway(finger lakes, upstate NY). Ran down the lake following the break in procedure, had lunch and ran back. The sun came out just as we pulled the boat out of the water. Oh well, the frenzy ran flawlessly so it was a good day. The mutts love the new boat, and made sure they left plenty of fur behind. If you need to find me just look for the orange frenzy with the large wake of dog hair.

Chilly (at least too chilly for the wife & kids) & windy here in southern Iowa. Didn't get the boat wet despite the sun shining.

My only boat time the whole weekend was doubling up lines and deploying extra fenders for a big storm Friday night. Rest of the weekend was rainy or cold and windy.

We got out, weather was OK, the partly cloudy was annoying, very nice when the sun was shining, but a little cool when the clouds were over the sun and the wind was blowing, overall a great weekend though. sad to see some leaves already changing.
