This is going to be our third season with a '03 Vista 268. When we bought the boat it came with a camper canvas and cockpit cover. I never tried to put up the camper till last week and it was in excellent shape. The problem was I could get a couple of pieces on and others were so off on the snaps I question if its even for my boat. We are talking 5-6 in off. I have two questions:
1) Can a piece be that far off?
2) Lets say if they all fit but one can you buy just one canvas pieces?

might have better luck putting this in the Vista forum. I do know that you can buy the pieces individually, but I'm having mine redone by a professional instead. I'd be surprised if it didn't fit you sure you had the right piece in the right place?

I think I had it right. I wasn't drinking and the wife was there for support. Thanks though

On my new 338, the only real problem I have is with the canvas and snaps. There is a missing snap on the deck for the sunpads. The sunpads need another set of snaps to hold them in place. There are a few missing snaps on the radar arch to secure the camper canvas. The dealer will be out next week to fix them. It appears to be the only quality control lapse on the whole boat. I am extremely happy to be able to say that.

Which parts of the canvas are you haveing a problem with? If its the front section you will have to slide the snap portion on the windshield frame to fit the canvas. Mine line up differently for the mooring cover and the canvas.

Ditto what 248Vista said. The snaps can be moved to line up. If you have fit problems they will most likely be a reaching the snap problem. The canvas will need to streatch a lot of times depending on how warm the weather is or the bimini will need to be adjusted aotuch.

I just put my camper top up today and had the same issue regarding the snaps. One snap just wasn't matching. Thanks for the tip to move it.

Thanks for the tip :D . I'm embarassed. Once I looked at it a little closer you can see how the snaps are on a track. I'll try it tomorrow.
