Good catch on the registration numbers! Using a temp registration until the state of Colorado sends me the numbers. Apparently it takes 30-60 days to issue my numbers. Wierd - I am in the military and every other state I've lived in issues numbers and registration sticker on the spot.

I dread having to put numbers on the bow anyway. Guess that I will try to get custom cut vinyl that matches the gelcoat/graphics scheme.

If it's any help...I had a local sign shop recommended by my dealer make my bow numbers from my design. The nice thing is that they come on a sheet that is almost brainless to apply properly. They also came with extras in case you mess one up on a dock like I did last year.

I've done the same thing on previous boat, but I just hate to have to apply contrasting lettering to the white gelcoat. Don't know if I should use black letters or try to match the color of the boat. THe custom cut regstration numbers are much easier to apply when they come on the sheet.

Great looking boat. I would recommend checking out this website for your registration numbers. http://www.signspecialist.com. I used them on both my boats and you can pretty much create any color and font you can think of. Great customer service too. I recommend buying the Application Kit for the extra $12.50. It will certainly help with a nice clean intall.

Good luck.

Pretty Boat! Are those graphics on the Frenzy or is that paint under the gel coat? Either way, its an eye catcher.

The gelcoat has an abrupt diagonal change from white to blue just aft of the back edge of the window. The graphics are vinyl stickers, but in order for the pattern to blend with the gelcoat, some of the stickers are white on blue gelcoat and others are blue on white gelcoat. Have to get up very close to see where the color pattern reverses. Thanks for the comments, though. I was torn between the traditional gelcoat scheme and this boat. The price was the deciding factor as it was a 2008 closeout. Otherwise, I would have chosen a more conservative look.

With the positive comments received on this forum, I am confident that we made the right decision.

Thanks.

I don't see any reason to doubt your decision. That's a good looking boat.

As far as the numbers, I would recommend finding a local sign shop or trailer decal shop. I looked at several websites before going to a local guy. Maybe I just don't have the eyes for that, but I didn't trust trying to color match looking at a color online. My local guy was great to work with, came out to my place and installed the numbers for less than $30. Most of all, I was sure the color was going to match the silver trim on my boat. Just my 2 cents.
