Hey Guys

I just bought Bob2135's old trailer for our 318, and just throwing it up here to see if anyone in the Minnesota area is heading towards Michigan anytime soon.

I was planning on picking it up myself, but with other commitments I wont have time for awhile.

PM me if you think you can help..

thanks

Jeff

I would do a search on craigslist or the local newspaper ads for guys that are willing to do garbage hauls from your house. You know the ones " I have a truck and am willing to do small moves, garbage hauls etc...) They have a truck and want to make a buck quick. The trailer will be empty so even the most beat up pickup could drag it home. Just interview a couple and make sure you are confident they will bring the trailer back in one piece. Take a good look at their trucks too.

I know there are several around here that would jump at the chance to go on a little day trip and make a quick $500

It's kind of a forum/ebay for private transporters.

We would have used someone from this site, if we had purchased a cruiser from a location that we could not easily drive to ourselves (time and distance).

Glad to see you got a trailer for her!

When I get home I can look up the hauler I used for my 268. They may have someone in the area that can haul it for you. They were pretty price competitigve on my boat, although I'm sure it'll cost about the same whether ther is a boat on it or not.

Cincy Aquaholic used them as well with great results.

Had an ad up for 6 hours, found a shipper that lives just south of me 30 miles heading home next week. He has 51 feed backs and no negatives ones, price $399.00. Here is a link to his profile page http://www.uship.com/profile/wetowrvtransport/

Thanks for the help guys. Bob Ill keep you an the marina posted on pickup, thanks again for everything.

Good find! I think that is an excellent deal. I'm amazed that he can do it this cheap but if he's passing through empty then it's better to get something to help cover costs.

Great News Jeff! Glad you found someone. I will be going to Europe on Saturday for a week for business, so if the pick up is during that window, just coordinate directly with the marina, they should be able to square away your driver.

Well the trailer arrived and I couldnt be happier with it. Looking at photos of a trailer of this size doesnt do it justice. It is massive, and the one thing I never gave much thought about is its 10' wide. Cant wait to use it next summer!

Thanks Bob for all the help on this, and thanks M3eater and everyone else for the help on transport!

Jeff, glad it got there! I hope it was in good shape, and I didn't misrepresent anything! You will have fun with it, good luck towing it!  We are getting the hard top installed this week on the 378, so that will be fun! Let me know how the first tow goes!

Jeff,

Just curious, what is your tow vehicle that you plan to tow the 318 with?

Thanks, Ed
