I tried looking for others having problems with the hull decals cracking and starting to peel but had no luck. Several of the decals on both sides of the boat are starting to peel at the points. There are also some cracks in some of the decals where they step down with the contour of the hull. Any suggestions, could this be covered by warranty, she is only two years old?

Not an SS, but same concept on all the boats.

I have had similar issues, and in fact, my decals were bad when I took delivery of the boat. They replaced them because they were bad at that time, but the new ones are not any better really. One of the letters started to peel right at the tip, but I clipped it off before it became an issue...and you cant even tell. Where the hull contours are, its sort of the same....except, there are air bubbles in them.

I think these are a 1 year warranty item. Had mine replaced within that time due to incorrect install from the factory. They were bridging at the body line & I knew this was going to cause premature failure.... it did.

Exactly what happened with mine. The bad thing...the "new" ones werent any better than the old ones.

We just purchased our 2011 H210 SS and took delivery in early October 2010, already we have some parts of the decals that have bubbles in them. Im able to press them out, but they come right back after a short amount of time. I read a while ago in a different forum that people have had trouble with the decals specific to the SS. Hmmmm???? At what point will a dealer replace them with the boat still under warranty. Do they need to be literally falling off? I wish the decals were under the gelcoat to be very honest!!!

Because of the same problems, I had mine replaced under warranty shortly after taking delivery. I have a few small bubbles at the contours but nothing to worry about yet.

My dealer did a good job installing the new ones. If you have good contact with the hull & no bubbles, they will last.

Thanks Cap'n Morgan for the link, and everyone else for their input, I guess I didn't look hard enough. Does anyone know if these decals can be ordered through FW or do I have to go through a dealer? Maybe I will wait until I just can't stand it anymore and get some custom vinyl graphics made....

That's probably what you'll want to do. Mine were also already replaced once under warranty for peeling and the new ones did it again this summer. Four Winns denied the warranty claim this year based on the fact they replaced them once already...........nice........So just for grins I asked my dealer how much for the set of graphics, and I was told you can't order just one side, you have to order the set. Make sure your sitting down..........I knew they would be expensive, but WTF(over) $600.00 is what the dealer quoted me. I took the boat back home and cut off the parts that were peeling and will figure out how to deal with it in the spring, but $600.00???? Heeeeeeeellllllssss no!

The truth? I think most of these boats will end up getting them peeled off sooner or later anyway, including mine.

Once I get to that point I am going to look into some custom vinyl graphics, such as a "wrap". I like the overall SS design, but think the color and other small things could be "tweeked".

WOW!! over $600 for a set of decals, I bet I can get something designed that I would be a lot happier with for that kind of money..... Thanks for the info

I honestly hate all those graphics, in that they always peel and when you want to take them off, if the boat has a dark gelcoat it always shows where the stripes were...if they want to have graphics, then for the money these boats cost, paint them on in Imron like Formula does, otherwise they are a headache as the boat gets older....
