Not sure if you have a standard seating arrangement or not, but this is what I did for my boat. I have the two boards held down in place with a ratchet set down to the floor of the boat. My set up is for big water fishing and may be overkill if you are not trolling for salmon.
The nice thing about boards like this, you can then buy any type of rod holder that fits your needs and budget and it won't require any permanent mounting on your boat. It works great and once it is removed, you would never know it was there.

I also have Flush Mount Scotty rod holders that I use for perch fishing. These did require some drilling, but they do have a nice clean look when not in use.

In the bow, I also have Scotty Rod holders that are clamped on to the hand rails. They come right off with no drilling required. I don't have any close up pictures, but this will give you an idea. Just go to Cabella's website and you'll be able to find them. I believe I bought mine at Gander Mountain.
