LOL  I don't have any great pictures to share, but I can say thinking of those warm night cruises after dinner. Cruising the lake with some good music and a bourbon with fireworks on the lake, I love that time of the year.

I think during the winter/off season they should alter the name of this website! Why? Because every time I log onto this site, especially during the winter, Im looking for pictures, that take me back to the summer season. Almost like I need therapy or am dealing with addiction, which Im sure most if not all of us are suffering from. So, I suggest www.iFourWinns-SupportGroup.com

This off season has been unique in that we have bought a cruiser and therefore, dont really have an off season like we have in the past. We have been spending some time on the new boat, cleaning, learning, etc...

Other than that, I look at a lot of pictures from the past summers etc.

I've always found it best to relish the season. Years ago I used to snowmobile a lot and would actually hope for summer to be over so I could do that (ok, not in July but once we got into Aug / Sep). Now we boat so I'd love to have 12 months of summer but in lieu of that, my kids are so into hockey, figure skating, skiing, etc. I don't really have to time to even think about the boat too much in winter.

I've got a list of boat "to dos" that last fall seemed like they could easily be accomplished over the winter, but I'm rapidly approaching the point of "I don't know if I'll get them all done"

The last few weeks I've spent tending to my latest "water" hobby:

I call it a Zamboni but it's just really what they call a "rink rake". Just hot water running out of some PVC with a bunch of small holes drilled in it with a rubber backed rug cut in 1/2 dragging behind it to leave a smooth layer.

I'm not going to build one but if you search youtube for "backyard zamboni" you'll see some people really go all out.

Our marina is about a mile from the house and on my home from work....I drive through 2-3 times a week to see the boat and remind myself that April is only a few months away. First weekend of April is our goal to be on the water!

Nice old Firebird! You sure don't see many of them anymore, at least here in the salt belt.

Thanks Mike - we don't have to worry about salty roads, but the salt air can be an issue when living at the coast....

Today we have santa ana conditions - windy and warm. I think I might take the 'Bird out for a cruise. It would be a decent boating day except that the wife took the truck for the weekend so that she could use the bike rack :(

What keeps me going!!! Buying and planning things to do to the boat in the spring!!!

I need to add a windlass, GPS, VHF, radar arch, sonar, inverter, bilge pump and a new amp. Well it's a new boat, so lots to do and learn too.
