I'm curious if anyone has heard of Sea Foam Motor Treatment? Sea Foam was recommended to me by a local GM car jockey for my Goldwing. He told me that it was originally made for marine engines, but the creator found that it worked well with all engines.
I have had trouble starting my snowblower this year, so I put a couple of ounces of Sea Foam in the fuel. I started it today and it started on the first pull, instead of 20 pulls. I think that this was due to the SeaFoam, but my test isn't exactly a lengthy one. If things go well with my snowblower test, I will put SeaFoam into the fuel of my 180 Freedom in the Spring.

I've used it for probably 10 years on my cars and my boat. It is better than fuel injector cleaner when put in a gas tank. I also put it in my crankcase just before an oil change and run it for a week or so in the car- a long boat ride in the boat. I've never run any tests or anything but I've noticed better mileage after using it and my engines seem to hold up pretty well over the years when it comes to things like valves.

Plus, it also works as a fuel stabilizer.

I have been using Seafoam in my Goldwing, cars, snowblowers, boats, and anything else that has an engine for years. It is not a miracle product, but it is a product that works better than anything I have ever found on the market. It will break down most deposits, unless totally blocked. And I also run it in my crankcase once a year for 50-100 miles before an oil change, and am amazed with the crud that comes out.

I use Lucas products (I prefer the container), suck in through the vacuum line about every year or so to clean the valves and intake and added to the fuel every oil change.

IMO- I don't think anyone makes a "Bad" product for this type of work (Lucas, STP, Seafoam). The simple fact we are doing it makes your car/boat/weed-eater much better off than 90% of them out there.
