A local sports talk radio station has a sound clip from a Mike Tice press conference when he was the Vikings head coach. It's him saying "enjoy the season!" Even though he was obviously talking about football, I think that's good advice for the seasons since there is nothing that can be done about it.
Personally I love the snow, until spring when I hope for it to be like a switch and we go from snow to sun and warm in a matter of a few weeks, just the opposite of how I want it in the fall. The last two falls have been like that, and last spring was like that too (unfortunately we reverted for a while in May) It does seem like around here when we have "real" winter, we get to spring fast but when we have mild winters they hang on forever.
All that being said, I 'm hoping to start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after the next cold snap they're predicting for this week. After that hopefully the snow pack will start melting and I can be on the water by Mid April.
