motor, options, arch? Is it in like-new condition or is it UV trashed from being a driveway queen?

Too hard to tell without more details.

Region of the country is also a factor.

However... as a general rule... a boat is only worth as much as a buyer is willing to pay or a bank is willing to lend.

Guess I left off some pretty important info.

Motor: 5.7 GXi
Options: Clarion w/ tweeters, porta poo, bimini
Arch? No
Condition: Light yellowness to the rear seats from sitting at the docks for a year
Engine: good condition according to mechanic

Sitting in the water, or on the trailer? Covered?

30 hours is about average for one season of use. Where and how the boat has been sitting for the balance of the 5 years of it's life makes a difference in what it may sell for.
Covered and in a garage and only used a few hours per year, is much different than sitting uncovered at a vacation home on a lake for 5 years during boating season.

Too many unknowns at this point to speculate on what it is worth.

Bought in 2007 new. Used very little the first two season and sat this last one.

Since I have the same boat I can tell you that one appears to be in pretty good shape and with most of the options. The "crust" isn't as bad as I'd feared from that pic. Of course the million dollar question is, was the engine prepared properly to sit for that long unused.

As to the seats, it's a crying shame they couldn't at least have put some protectant on them, which would've prevented the discoloration. I'm not sure that's going to be repairable without replacing the vinyl ($$$). Also, he should have a boot to cover the bimini, which will look much nicer than a bungee strap.

Thanks for helping me with my boating terminology, didn't know that the thingy around the bimini was called a boot. That's included, but he said it wasn't convenient. The vinyl isn't that bad and doesn't bother me at all. Out of curiosity, how much would that cost to replace those? The engine was prepared and I took it to a boat mechanic to look at and he said it ran like a champ. Took it on the lake over the weekend (glad to be in TX with this nice weather) and it ran great. Only issue was the freshwater pump wasn't treated right and was broke, but I don't expect that to cost me any more than $150. The crust scratches off (will use buffer).

Whatcha think a boat like this should cost?

$40K, but I'll sell you mine for $38K.

OK, seriously. Since I'm a guy who buys one boat and keeps it a l-o-n-g time I don't pay much attention to the used market, so I can't even give you a good guess. But if you have any more questions about the model, post 'em up and one of us will try to help.

No guess on the cost of replacing the vinyl either, but it won't be cheap. I'd have an auto upholsterer who is used to working on boats quote it if you're interested.

BTW, the fresh water pump is most likely a Flojet #4405-143 like this one:

The pictures help a little. How much would I pay ? No more that $32K for that boat. Probably closer to $30K You can get the same boat in Lewisville probably for that price, even though it is listed at $35K.

It has the GXi. I feel like I'm stealing it..talked him down to right under $25K. Business went under and need the cash. Deal will be done Thursday!

I think Cap'n is right on target with the price. I think fair market in good condition puts it in the $28-32K range. I paid in that range for my 2005 H230 about 15 months ago. Mine is a Gi instead of a GXi, but has some expensive options such as the captain's call exhaust and full camper canvas. If everything checks out like you said, I would be tempted to offer something like $25K based on the the seats, pump, etc. I probably would not pay more than $28K based on those items. My opinion.

PS Who tries to sell a boat without at least attempting to clean the water scum off? People always amaze me.

I think our posts got crossed. Sounds like you did well. A little elbow grease and I think you are going to have a sweet boat. Congrats!
