Congrats. I saw your boat on eBay the other day. It would appear you got close to what you needed.

I spent 10 years on Lewisville. Pier 121, 900 block. 10 single / non-married years, that is.

Now I'm married ... therefore Grapevine is our new lake. A lot less, ahem, nudity at Grapevine. :-(

:-)

We have been playing on Lewisville for 4-5 years. I am married, have kids....but its still the best place for us. Our house is on the lake and the marina (Cottonwood Creek) is only 5 minutes from the house. We go to Party Cove a few times a year but most of the time we hang in family cove. We are looking forward to being dockmates with TxVista and the others at the marina. Its a nice, clean and fairly calm marina....not the party that Pier 121 offers.

Agreed. Cottonwood Creek was brand new when I left Lewisville. It looked really nice. I have heard through friends that Pier 121 has calmed some. Increased police activity tends to do that.

I'm not sure that I would say 121 has calmed down. They added a couple more docks that are not as crazy, but I was there at the end of the summer at 2am, and the place was still rocking and loud. I have several friends (without kids) that are tenants there. It's fun, but I usually have my son with me on the boat and leave early. It seems Cottonwood gets most of their business from people leaving 121, either retired couples or young adults who just had a baby. This will be my 8th summer at Cottonwood Creek and every spring a few boats from 121 move in..

Congratulations Steve. Your patience paid off. I bet you're relieved to have her gone off your balance sheet. Now you can concentarte on moving your 298 and doing a few upgrades to her. Well done.
