No problem Ken, I can't disagree with your comment of "But my opinion, its easier to go slow in a bigger hp motor than it is to go fast with low hp motor."
I like the Mercury inflatables. I have bought a used 280 Quicksilver inflatable, a new 280 Mercury inflatable and a new 310 Mercury inflatable over the years.
Your 310 will be a good inflatable for somebody. Anyone interested in purchasing a used inflatable should be aware of the benefits of Mercury' s bow up design and the new design of their end cones starting in the year of your inflatable that you have for sale, see this quote......."The end cone design, its flat endcone in the 2003 and newer models. When you see a typical inflatable accelerate it does a pop-a-wheeley. Well with the flat end cone when the front of the boat lifts up it pushes the cone into the water and causes instant plaining off."
When we do dingy runs with other boaters I can attest that I like having our 310 inflatable bow high design as it keeps us drier than other inflatables and that the end cone design does let us get up on plane quick without having the bow raise high. I also feel the end cone design lets you maintain planning easier without falling off plane if you are slowing down a bit due to rough conditions.
Our 9.9 hp is about 80 lbs and I find that weight is a bit of a struggle when you try to not mark up your inflatable transom or your boats swim platform while taking it on off. Running with the 9.9hp on though, does make up for most of the struggle.
You shouldn't have much trouble selling your 310 Inflatable. I just wanted to let anyone interested in your inflatable that I
would have no reservations using a Honda 2 hp or similar engine with a 310 Inflatable. If you don't need to plane the little 2 hp should still push you around comfortably up to around 5 MPH.
