Whoever / Whatever is causing the wind in the DFW Texas area needs to be shot. Every weekend since the weather has warmed has been 20-40 mph wind.

Last year was bad too. If this is going to become a normal thing, I might have an immaculate, very well maintained 248 for sale.

:-)

Yeah, I know. This is REALLY getting old! I am still trying to learn to park in my slip and cant practice or even go out due to the winds. My slip faces SW, which is the way MOST of the winds have been lately....

I back into my slip. When docked, I face east. Which means when I'm backing in I have a cross wind, but it isn't too bad since I am backing into the wind and turning into the slip.

My issue is actually being on the water. We like to head across the lake on Friday nights to a little burger place on the water. The water is really choppy. Almost need a helmet just to cross the lake.

I'm trying to use the chop / wind as an excuse to get a bigger boat. The wife just isn't buying it. :-)

We NEED a drought. Lake Champlain is over flood stage and full of driftwood. Plus it's really cold!

It is so friggin cold up here in MN. It is suppose to be low 40's tomorrow with rain all day, and then rain/snow mix on WED! I took two days off this week to go down to the boat to work on it. It is in covered UN HEATED storage, so I will be dry but FREEZING

I pray that this summer warms up a bit, otherwise this is going to be a VERY disappointing boating year, especially after buying the 378V!

Took the boat in to get de-winterized on Saturday. Woke up to 3" of snow on Easter Sunday. Apparently, Colorado is following suite and will not be ready for boating for awhile either.

I hear you guys on this crappy spring weather.

Went to Vegas and had great 90 degree and sunshine. Back to Indiana with 48 degrees and wind.

Now nonstop rain. They are forecasting 2-7" over the next few days....as if we haven't gotten enough already.

At least I'm not in a hurry to get my final few projects finished up, and the packages running late aren't putting me behind.

We have rain in our forecast for the next 4 days straight. I mentioned to my wife today, that if this Friday evening is good weather wise we will drive to the marina on Friday evening to do our final sanding before bottom paint and then we will drive back down to the marina again on Saturday to apply the bottom paint. We have a 1 1/2 hour drive each way ( 3 hr. return) to our marina. That would leave the following weekend for washing/waxing before the boat is launched.

It does seem this spring's weather has been a little slow in coming. I may find our marina real busy this weekend with my fellow boater's all out prepping their boat for spring launch. Makes it fun sometimes if you are trying to wax your boat (or apply bottom paint) and one of the two other guys beside you who are also on blocks are trying to wash their boat, especially if its windy and their water spray is blowing over on your boat. Grrrrrrrr, but watcha gonna do?

Mike.

Mike....I am in the same boat (no pun intended). Our marina is 1.5 hours away, and 3 hr round trip. So...we have to plan to do things on the boat, and with this weather, planning becomes more last minute in an effort to capitalize on the nice days!

Having it in the driveway on a trailer does have its advantages at times. I know when we eventually get into the "BBBC" (Big Boy Boat Club-LOL) we'll be running into these problems. For now, my neighbors can watch as we prep. Managed to get her 95% compounded out and plan on applying the teflon wax this evening. Then we need to polish the stainless and hopefully dunk her sometime next week! Fingers are crossed....(P.S. Heavy rains forecasted for Wednesday/Thursday).

I think we've got you'all beat. Record rain, small craft advisories, snow in the mountains. The snow level is dropping to 1000 feet on Thursday with a chance of lowland snow.
