just called my buddy in town who sells em new and used. They have a NEW 09 with 5.7 gxiDP for $59,900. I told him a used 06 with an 8.1 B3 at $38K and he said "a pretty good buy."

+1 for all the H260 comments. You'll love the boat, but it is a heavy boat so make sure you've got an adequate tow vehicle. I think $38k is reasonable price on that boat. That's the range I paid last spring for my 2005 with less hours.

However, just as an FYI, that boat has been on Boattrader.com for a while now. Not sure why, but I remember seeing this boat when a friend was looking for a 26' with a big block. That was sometime last fall.

Norris is great.. the water is calm enough to take anything out there....even a kayak... unless you get caught in a storm... buy the boat that you can afford and love the most....

+2 I absolutely love my H230--but I have to admit I an envious of that H250/260 and the 8.1. My next tow vehichle will definitely be one that could accommodate a boat of that size and weight. Again--good luck and hope to see you on Norris.

OK I did it and it is home and in a Lake Erie Marina. Now if this Michigan/Ohio weather will just change for a day! I paid for a full inspection and it checked out perfect. You can tell it was either a party boat or the guy had kids because it wasn't the cleanest and could use a little TLC on the interior. You can just tell he didn't wipe it down after every use. I ended up getting it for 37K and I'm extremely happy about it! Thanks for all the information, it was extremely helpful. If that boat was listed for a long time, I'm surprised I couldn't get the guy to go any lower, trust me I tried twice. lol

Here is a new picture before it left for Ohio. I think the name is going to need to change since I'm only 29 with no kids haha, but I hear it's bad luck to change it.
