Has anyone ever replaced a fresh water tank on a 268? Does the motor have to come out in order to get it out? Mine is leaking. Thanks.

Yes they have. Try a search, several threads about the replacement.

Cap'n, no real luck with a search. Any links? I've not had much luck with that search engine. Thanks. AL

I'm assuming the fresh water tank on yours is next to the engine? On mine it is below the aft cabin.

firecadet: Yes, mine is in the engine compartment. I have a gray tank so it is beneath the aft cabin and the fresh water is in the engine compartment.

I got the tank out today in about an hour. I had to remove the riser on that side of the motor and out it came. It was a little tight because of FWC, but without it, it should come right out. The spin weld at the inlet was leaking.
