Have mine done every two years when I have my end of season outdrive service. I also replace the anodes at that time. Parts are cheap.

Piece of mind is worth big $$$.

I had the impellers replaced this year, buffed and waxed the starboard side. Not happy with the sections above the rubrail. I picked up some 3M Marine Restorer, hoping to buff out some swirl marks, that part just doesnt have the 'wet' consistant look i'm looking for. Splashing the week of May 9th!!!

Snagged a photo of my son after we pumped out the poo last evening.

It'll be in the 90's this week. 8)

It has been a cold and rainy Spring here (MN). But, I have been down to our new boat 3 times and completed the following:

Took out Ice Maker, replaced with Fridge (have 2 cockpit fridges now)
Replaced engine sea strainer covers (known issue with VP D6 engines)
Installed additional LED lights in Arch, and blue LEDs for cockpit floor lighting
Put Boat name on and USCG DOC numbers on hull after receiving DOC paperwork 2 weeks ago (bought boat 8 mos ago!)
Diagnosed sound system faults (2 faulty sony speakers) Four Winns replacing them! Great Customer service!
Replaced main cabin LCD TV. Jensen stock model failed, replaced with Best Buy Dynex brand...had to fabricate new mounts
Having salon carpet cut into 3 sections and re-sewn edging (due to it being one 12' piece and impossible to adjust or move to access systems under it without alot of swearing from the admiral!)
Preparing to paint IPS drives soon.
Many small projects left, but it is coming together fast! cant wait to get out on the water.

Cold front moving through N Texas this weekend. Lows in the 50's, highs in the low 70's for the weekend. They say, and I am HOPING the wind will stop for a Sunday cruise.

I have been spending more time on the hook as well with the gas prices.

I live 3 minutes from the marina, I'm retired, and it takes me about about 5 minutes to get it in the water and go so I get my moneys worth out of the thing thats for sure..

Anyone want to trade weather? Just checked our local forecast, this weekend has 80% and 90% probability of rain for Saturday and Sunday and at least a 60% chance of rain each day until next Thursday!

We only have our mooring cover on our boat at present, guess the camper top will have to wait until next weekend.

Think this weekend will be doing some R&R in the cabin, maybe a movie or two and some cold beverages. Heck, still not a bad way to spend a weekend. Watcha gonna do about the weather anyway?

Mike.

honestly I would trade the summer like weather we have been having for the last month and a half to have avoided the 3" diameter hail that pretty much destroyed my 9 month old house a couple weeks ago, Going to be a crappy summer dealing with replacing the roof, gutters, windows etc :(

Wow, 3" diameter hail, that's not nice, not nice at all. Must be been a great deal of damage to many vehicles and boats?

Mike.
