Anyone in the Annapolis, MD area going to the Blue Angels practice show on Tuesday the 24th? Weather permitting I’m going to cross the bay with a few friends and watch the show. The raft up starts around 10 and goes till 4ish.

We're lucky, our marina is right there under the flight path. All I have to do is drive to the marina. That said we probably won't make it down there this time. Way too many things going on over the past few weeks and there's a lot of work that needs catching up.

I'll be there both days this year. On Tuesday we're rafting up with the Chesapeake Power Boating Association....prediction is 50+ boats in the raft this year. Are you planning in being in that raft or a different one? The times you list are identical the CPBA times. Don't need to be a member of the club to join the raft (I'm not an official member), just need a boat and willingness to meet some new people :)

Ok...looks like we have at least two FW owners joining the big raft. Anyone else? Weathermen are calling for 80 degrees plus and sun all day. With this being the last year that the Blue Angels are a sure thing and a beautiful forecast, my prediction is a huge turnout for this event.

As a plane lover, I feel for you guys that were luckey enough to be able to raft up for a treat like that. That whole press release is just way too strange for me. I think they would have just canned the said manoeuver till it was worked on and deemed safe again. The Naval Academy show yet????
Something smells fishy

Just saw on cnn.com that the Blue Angels commander has stepped down due to "sub-par performance" and their next several shows have been cancelled. Guess whatever happened was pretty serious.
