Well, spent 3 full days on the boat in covered storage getting all projects done. We are finally splashing on WED this week, keeping fingers crossed all systems work well. Projects completed:
1. 16 blue LED bow rail lights installed. Took six hours with 2 of those being measure, fish wire to the helm accessory switch, and measure again! turned out great, they were the talk of the marina, and in fact the marina ordered 100 of the lights for other boaters!
2. hard top LCD TV installed.
3. Changed out all four sony speakers, and re-wired them to bypass a gremlin in existing wiring. Finally works well and sound great.
4. cleaned all the bilges, sea strainers, and float switches (amazing what previous boat owner did not do or care about!)
5. salon/cabin carpet removed, cut into 3 managable pieces, re-sewn edging, cleaned and scotch guard applied. Looks great, and easier for the admiral to handle.
6. canvas repair, eisenglass replacements, snaps and velcro replacments ongoing, will be done this week.
7. engine room cleaning, removing various screws, bolts then wire brushing them down to remove rust, repaint, and re-install.
8. good thorough cleaning inside and out, with one coat of wax on the exterior!

I am tired now...

Those lights are a really cool idea and I'm sure are mighty impressive looking out in the middle of a dark lake! Do you have a link to the ones you installed? Thanks!

Here is the manufacturer link:

http://www.microstarlight.com/micro-sta ... ed-light-0

There are several previous iFourWinns forum posts on this subject (thats where I got the idea from!)

They make these lights in Red, Green, White and Blue. Recommend only White and Blue, as the other colors are navigational colors, and you can have them on at night, but can not run with them on!

I found the blue lights online for $6.95 each, thru Boater's world, but they were out of stock, saw them on West Marine, and printed the internet add/price took it in to my local store and West Marine beat that price.
