I just bought some meguiars one step compound agressive cleaner plus polish 67 marine and rv.It say on the bottle it removes heavy oxidation ,tough hard water spots and scratches ,restores neglected surfaces producing amazing shine and luster, either by hand or machine.I have never used it before ,but the guy in the marine shop told me it is what the proffessionals use when grooming boats ,so I took the punt ,has anyone ever used it? how was it? I hope it works well as my new boat is in need of a good shine up when she arrives ,the gelcoat is fairly dull and is a white hull with black stripe, any sugestions are most welcomed! cheers ,Mike

I am a believer in Meguiars products. I have not used #67. I can speak about their three step process (product #M 4965 ). It can be purchased online or at your favorite marine supply store. This kit contains an oxidation remover #49, a polish #45 and a wax #56. We have used this product on our boat for 11 years with no problems. Dan

I like Dan's recipe. All-in-ones are not what you want for a boat needing TLC. Elbow grease is the key. An electric buffer helps wonders but use an orbital one, not a rotary one. A rotary buffer will "burn through" gel coat if you are a novis. Trust me. I did it once. ONCE!

Ya cant beat Meguires products though. Let us know how it goes.

John
