Hopefully someone can enlighten me on what passes through the upper versus lower bellows. I believe the driveshaft passes through the upper bellows and you want that to be sealed to prevent water corrosion. The lower bellows contains the exhaust and water return so it is not necessarily sealed perfectly. Is that correct??
The reason I ask is while running the engine with a flush fitting last weekend I noticed a small amount of water exiting the lower bellows. It did not appear to be a split or crack in the bellows but came from the interface of the lower bellows to the out drive itself. I had the outdrive tilted up somewhat.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks Rob
