So when we bought the boat in 2008 it said there was a 6 month trial of Sirius. Well 3 years later we still have it! shhhhhhh

Sirius now has your state identified and will send a team to investigate and collect the back rent.

That is hilarious! They are coming for you watch out. I have heard the same from some of my friends in Miami. Have you enjoyed and have you had any problems with it? I have it on my boat 2008 Four Winns H220SS and I was wondering how it holds up in the ocean environment. Joe from Miami have a great boating season and stay safe. God Bless

I think they send out the deauthorization signals every so often. Since boat radios are turned off most of the time yours has probably missed receiving that signal. It'll get it eventually.

Note, you can suspend service for a couple of months. I do it over the winter. I suspend the boat radio and satellite weather service from November to April. No sense paying for what I can't use.

Good for you. The sirius expires in my truck next month & I still have not decided if I am going to renew or not. They have been mailing lots of offers but I thought i might just let it expire & see what they offer then. Guy at work has a 2007 & is still getting free - so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Well let me just say, I hope your didn't. Having said that, I purchased a home about 10 years back and the long and short of that is, I plugged the power cord of the tv into the wall and hooked up the cable from the wall to the tv and viola!!!!! We had every channel you could ever want and more channels then I knew what to do with. I mean every showtime, HBO, Disney blah blah blah. Well all was great for the first 14 months or so until that fate full day!! Yes thats right, a letter and a bill from the local cable company explaining how a technician was working on the local supply line only to find that someone had opened the box and did some wizbang cheat thing to it in order to steel the cable signal!!!!! So, I was kind of caught red handed, although I didnt set it up to steel free cable, I was receiving cable for the past 14 months. So, $1800 bucks later, I would have been better off calling the company when I first noticed that I was receiving free cable and had them fix it. Because I surly would not have had all those damn channels that I ended up paying for.......LOLOLOL. I can laugh about it now.

I have there receivers, in my car, truck and just took one it out of my boat. They called me and tried to sign me up. I told them, let me have all 3 reactivated for the price of one receiver. They sad "no". I told them, I can only be in one place at a time!! The boat I am in more, at the slip, overnighting. What I found, is that HD radio has less commercials, better sound quality & it's for free. I installed the HD radio add on to my Sony head & enjoying it.

Bill, how is the new radio I sold you??

The guy I bought my boat from last August bought it new in 2005. He said the 12 months free kept coming until spring last year.

During my stereo upgrade project in April this year I accidentally realized that it was activated again (I guess I never even tried it last year so who knows if it was then?). It stayed on until you guessed it, about two weeks before the first real boating day.

Honestly I never even considered it until getting the free taste. I use my phone to listen to Pandora, Slacker Radio or MP3s, but after listening to it for a while in the garage I actually did enough checking to find out they do allow you to suspend the service off season.

I will probably call and get a subscription before the next outing. Dealing with the phone is kind of a pain.

Is it just me or has Pandora totally SUCKED lately? Locks up all the time, and more add's then ever. I think the add's are locking it up.

Old post, but I'm on 12 years of free Sirius. Whenever the boat gets sold, that radio's coming out!
