Don't know about that unit, but I've never had a lot of faith in anything with the Emerson label on it.
I couldn't find info on that player online. I did see other models from that company. They look like they'd be taller than the existing DVD player that comes standard on the 348. Thus you'd have some trouble getting it to fit as a direct replacement. The is some extra room under the factory player, but I don't know if it's enough to fit the larger Emerson unit. You'd have to measure the space.
Then there's the issue of getting the old one out of there. I don't know how the hell they got them in there but I suspect it was before assembling the cabinet.
Might I ask why you're replacing them? Oh, wait, I didn't see the 2003 year on your sig. I take it you have the old CRT television? Not a newer LCD? You might also consider a TV with a DVD player built into it. I picked up a 19" Toshiba that we used in the forward berth and up on the arch. I couldn't find one I liked that had 12v input, so I just use an inverter for it.
For playing movies you may also want to consider using an iPod or other player that has a video out. I've found it to be a lot less hassle to use a player instead of DVDs. Granted, you might miss some of the DVD extras and menus and the resolution might be a little lower, but those are reasonable trade-offs for most movies or other TV programs.
