I am planning to bust out of work on Saturday and get straight to the marina so we can head out to see a fireworks show on the water. Sunday, we were thinking Party Cove on Lake Lewisville...starting to rethink that. We will be out...just may not be at the cove. Monday evening, more fireworks. I plan to spend Saturday and Sunday night on the boat. Also, going to try out my new Magma grill this weekend.

Finally, the weather looks like we will have less than 30 mph winds, so it should be an awesome weekend!

Tomorrow morning (Canada Day) we start out on our annual two week boating vacation and will run our boat up to Port Huron, Michigan. From there we will travel up into Lake Huron and plan to make stops at Bayfield, Kincardine, Grand Bend and Port Elgin before heading back down Lake Huron towards home. Plan to stop in St.Clair, Michigan for a night or two and to fill her up with the less expensive American fuel before heading back to our home marina.

Wishing everyone a fantastic Canada Day and Independance Day holiday.

Mike.

Awesome pictures crooked what lake is that. Nice cabin also my wife and I are interested in a place up North to get away from South Florida from time to time. 30 dollars a month sounds like a steal my place in Key Largo is 100 but they pressure clean your windows and deck once ever six months for an extra charge. 8) Joe from miami

I tend to stay off the lake on busy holiday weekends. But I will walk down to the neighborhood boat ramp with a cooler and a lawn chair and watch the real fireworks at the usually way overcrowded ramp :)

Going to Cave Run Lake in KY, cannot wait!

How is cave run? We had baseball tournament there this spring. Thought it might be cool to check out some time. Is it worth the drive? How does it compare to Brookville in Indiana?

Cave Run is awesome, Brookville doesn't even compare. The water is so clean. We have been going there for over 10 years. It takes about 2.5 hours to get there from Cincinnati. It isn't as populated as Cumberland/Norris/East Fork either. I cannot wait to get down there 2maro! Enjoy your 4th!

Plan on taking part in a big raft-up for Rock the River on Aberdeen Creek (just off the South River in Edgewater, MD). All day event with 2 bands, who knows how many boats, and a ton of people. Can't wait!

Everyone enjoy the weekend and stay safe.

We started our yesterday by heading to Medina Lake for the afternoon. Great time and we were one of only three boats on the lake!!!! The water was so calm, we really didn't need the anchor! Had a blast.

We're headed to St. Michaels for the weekend. Parade and fireworks, and then back to Annapolis for the 4th.

Getting ready for a holiday weekend is so much work!

Yesterday:
I re-waterproofed the canvases as the bimini top and snap in covers were starting to not bead anymore with all this FL rain. Don't worry, I kept them in the house overnight to dry.
Scrubbed and cleaned the whole boat cause without the covers it looked like a hurricane went through it

Today (if it doesn't rain this evening, it already is now):
Go purchase some fireworks
Lug some gas to the boat
Maybe change the oil tonight. If not, tomorrow.
Burn some new music CD's
Fix the anchor light, it's not turning on
Think of ideas of what to grill/drink

Already called a few fellow boaters that I hang out with on the lake, plans are set for fireworks and bbq all weekend on the peninsula
