Thanks. Don't know if we'd go over the July 4th time frame again. Boat ramp at Holly Creek was insanely overcrowded with cars, trailers, people, and what-not. Nearly got my truck and trailer stuck in a few "in-escapable" areas a few times. I hate that stress, especially when it's 94 degrees outside. Fortunately, the lake became it's normal lonely self again on July 5th. We're torn between Norris and Dale Hollow. We like the modern marina's and restaurants on Norris but like the wide-open aspect of Dale Hollow. Hate the marina's and restaurants on Dale Hollow (with the exception of Cedar Hill and their awesome BLT sandwiches) :P

Great looking trip, and family. Makes me miss our trip to Table Rock this year.

The saddest thing...and this had me smokin' mad; is that I somehow forgot to bring the faceplate for my boat stereo. This, after my family had a mini "mixtape" competition to see who could bring the best boating music. We had it all planned out with the music and I get to the lake and find that the stereo face is 150 miles away. Listening to good music on the water is such a relaxing and enjoyable thing. Bummer.

LOL. Can't have one (Rush) without the other (Cleveland). Old timers from cleveland will get that.

$39 at Walmart would have gotten you a cheap head unit to at least get some tunes going...

You gotta understand north-central Tennessee. :P By my previous experience, the nearest Wal-Mart is about 60 miles away. To be honest, one of the things we don't like about Dale Hollow Lake is the complete absence of modern stores or restaraunts in the area. I know that probably sounds like a good thing, but it's shocking to me that a lake that huge has seemingly added zero benefit to the local community. Most of the guys at the Marina's told me that the local towns have shrunk and nearly disappeared. We went in to Celina, TN and it was a ghost town of closed businesses and no growth.

 yeah. I think a back-up radio is more important than a back up battery.
