I own a 180h 2007. Just wandering what some people have done for performance options. Would like to go a little faster

It's actually very easy to modify a boat to get better performance:
Step 1:
Sell boat
Step 2:
Purchase boat with bigger engine
Step 3:
Enjoy performance upgrade :D

I chose the "trade boat in for bigger boat after one year" option.

It works!

With all wisecracking aside though.....you can change the prop for different upgrades, but if you improve one thing you're going to hurt another. So make sure you buy the right prop for how you use the boat. ie..water ski, wakeboard, top end speed......do a search of the forum. This question has been asked 4,000,000 other times.

Fair warning: the benefits are minimal.

I'm happy with my 3.0. Sure, it's not my buddies 400hp malibu.... but I also get 3-4gph. He gets like 15. I'm okay with that

I'm jealous of that fuel injection

I am happy with the 3.0 too. I am also very jealous of the fuel injection although mine has been running pretty well this year

Yep, I have an EFI. My fuel gauge is highly inaccurate. I'm installinga hour meter soon. It should give me an idea how much gas my boat eats. Arkansas gas contains up to 10% ethanol so I always put a can of SeaFoam every other time I fill up.

I just bought my 180 not long ago. My Four Winns local dealer said non-EFI 4.3's aren't offered anymore. The 4.3 EFI was just released this year but at $4-5K premium...I too am happy with my 3.0 :D

I already ran out of gas once with my H180. Gauge said between 1/4 and 1/8th on plane. Luckily my lake is only 1x3mi and the wind was blowing towards the dock. Took 1hr to "sail" back using the bimini top. Now I just treat 1/4 as if it were "e".

I supposedly have a 24 gallon fuel tank. I once ran out of gas and filled up a full tank at only 22 gallons. Wierd huh? Whenever the needle touches 1/2 now, I know now that I've used 16.5 gallons (3/4 tank) .
