I am wondering if anyone has purchased this unit and what are your reviews on it. Thanks for any feedback

I have not used this unit, BUT.......... I bought a Lowrance fish finder and have had problems getting it to work as there web site stated. Not to get into it & off the subject, but there tech support was not that helpful. I talked to 3 different techs and got 3 different answers!! There even upgraded my unit, but still I had problems with no resolve.

I have had Garmin units in the past & now have a 740. When I call, I get a quick answer and the problem is resolved.

If you have a Bass Pro Shops near you, go see them. They usually have all the GPS/Sounders etc setup and active so you can play with them.

I would go with Garmin for one main reason. Their new GDL-40 "pay as you go" weather system. No monthly charges. I don't know where you live, but having the ability to check the weather radar while on the water is a must here in Florida even on inland waterways. Sitting on the water during a lightning storm is NOT fun.

LOL! It sure is horrible and considering everyone else is considering where to put their boats for the winter a bit insensitive a post I must say. This is my first year with a boat and I am really anticipating the lower temps that will hopefully be coming soon. I am also preparing everything for the Columbus Day Regatta at Elliott Key since I missed last years regatta, have you been to any of the events in Orlando?
