I'm looking at renting a place on Simcoe next spring. I promised the family I would do the big chief island sandbar and also 1000 islands. Maybe once I get it hooked up, I can see if you guys are boating at the same time.

That sounds good. I will be up on Simcoe mostly every weekend. Big Chief can get pretty crazy there are some other spots similar as that only not quite as busy

You guys are killing me. I would give my first born to head up to Simcoe for the weekend, but instead I have a date to winterize her and then the next 2 weekends are consumed with birthdays and a wedding. If this was not the case I usually leave it in until after our thanksgiving

Blue dragon, it's always warm enough for me to go boating as long as the ice aint forming. I will lauch as soon as "ice out" too but stay off the lake for a few weeks cuz of some ice fishing idiots that leave stuff out there that are hazards to us boaters. After that, say 2-3 weeks for that stuff to get blown ashore, I'm out there. Maybe with a winter coat and gloves :) but I'm cruizing.

I think they're calling for 18-20 both days,,,c'mon up

Mike, I think you're pullin the trigger way too early. There aint gonna be any snow this year,,,I know cuz I've talked with the guys upstairs' supervisor even and I ordered it. Better think about winterizing that sled instead

Well first we had the hurricane, which was just a tropical storm but caused plenty of damage...
Now the harbor where I keep my boat, is getting dredged, and all boats near the channel, have to come out or get moved, so I pulled it again today. That's it for my season. I am going to take this chance of being out early to do some projects on it I wanted to do for a while before it gets too cold....
