Greetings.

My name is Dave, I am brand new to the forum. I recently purchased a 1988 245 Vista. It does not appear to have either the a/c or heater option installed. I was wondering if anyone knows if these units can be installed on a boat that was built without them, and if so, would you have any idea where I could find the units? I am hoping there are aftermarket sources for such things. I did search the forum before asking but did not come across anything.

And while I'm asking, :) I see in the archived brochure for this boat that there appears to be a bench extension for the rear bench that goes across the transom accessway. Would anyone know where I might find one of these as well?

Thank you in advance for any help or advice you can offer!

Dave

Any boat can be converted to have AC/heat. It's becoming quite a popular add-on for cuddy cabins cause the new A/C's are so small.

As good as it gets.

If you want A/C when the boat is off for an extended period of time (like overnight) get yourself an inverter generator you can have em right next to you and hold normal conversations
