Hey guys,

When I originally purchased my 2000 328 Vista, it came with a number of white, oval-cut privacy covers for the portlights. Over the last few years, most of them have cracked, ripped, or more-or-less disintegrated. Because my wonderful and demure wife is always concerned that "people could be looking at us" when we've turned in for the night, I need to find replacements.

I went hunting and pecking through the online parts catalog, but couldn't find them. I even searched Ebay. Anyone know where I can purchase these, or will I have to resort to calling Four Winns directly?

Thanks - Allen

No, not curtains. They're made of some kind of plastic, are placed between the screen and the glass, and are cut to fit precisely in the space. I can remove them to let the sunshine/bright light in and to be able to see out, or place them for complete privacy preventing us from looking out or anyone else looking in. We had 10 of them, but are now down to 2, so I'm looking to purchase more but can't find them anywhere.

Looks like you might have to contact the company. I found a place that makes custom covers http://www.portlightcovers.com/ but they look a little pricey. Have you considered finding a similar material, tracing the shape using an old one, and cutting it out? The material is thin and seems like it would be easy to cut...and cheap!

Get them made at your local seamstress,,cost you less than a box-o-suds.

The wifey was a seamstress and when ours deteriorated on our last boat, she made a new set for about 5 bux for fabric and 5 minutes in time. She said she would do that job for about 20 bux,,that boat had 4 windows though

Contact a place like Regal Plastics to get raw material and recreate them yourself. You could get some opaque lexan sheets and do it yourself.

Yep, I have curtains for the galley portlights, which work great. The ones in the main berth and aft cabin didn't come with curtains.

I may try making my own privacy covers as others have suggested.
