You can tell we all have spring fever! Speculating on someones upgrade to pass the time! Mike, we have had a very mild winter here in the Bay. Unless Mother Nature decides to slap us this month, it could be a very early Spring, like we had two years ago. I think I was splashed the first week of April!!! I have two boats on my short list, possibly next year. Sea Ray 40 Sundancer and the Formula 40 PC. I love the Azimut 43s and the Tiara 39 sovran. Just too much for me!!

Hey Michael, maybe next spring we can have a new thread titled "What will we see MichaelB in next". :)

My wife and I have talked that we would like our next boat to be a sedan bridge style boat, but that would likely be when we are at a point in our lives that we could use the boat more than our present weekends and holidays.

Enjoy your search......

Mike.

Michael,
This inquiry is a little premature.. but. How many hours on your boat? Do you have a trailer? Dan

Never too early, or too late to start looking for your next boat. :D Here is a 298 locally. 2000 298 Vista

Talk to these guys at the boat show this week, I bet you could get this 2001 328 Vista for mid 60's.

As Capn said...never too early! I am always looking!! No trailer Dan, I'll have to check on the hours Saturday, heading to the marina to make a list for some projects I'd like to take care of before spring launch!

No genset in either boat? I can't see having a boat that size and no genny...

It really depends on how and where you boat. I have never found a need for a gen set since our boats have been in a marina.
It would not be a deal breaker for me if there was no genset in an express cruiser.
If you are a trailer boater, and are out on the hook most of the time, then I could see it being of some use. They seem to
be more like a pretty blonde, nice to have around, but are high maintenance. :D

Thanks for the link acguy. That is one sweet boat. Even at under $200K, it's out of my budget range.
Besides, we bought a boat at the boat show this past weekend. Just need to get the details worked
out. :D

I went through that boat yesterday, I think I'm in love but my wallet can not sustain that kind of dream.
The layout on that monty is awesome, tons of room in the cabin and is a true 32 foot boat.

It is a beauty. A guy we boat with occasionally, has a 320SY and both the wife and I loved it. I know I talk up the Monterey's, but if you have not checked one out before, you owe it to yourself to do it. They are another family owned builder (like Regal) and are currently the only domestic builder that is 100% debt free. That says alot to me.

I don't expect to be in a position to buy a different boat anytime soon. If I was, though, Monterey would be right at the top of my list.
