Its hard to say without more info, what do you have on there now for pitch and diameter and what are your wide open rpms?

the propeller is so old that i cant even read the letters on it, and the engine is supposed to get to 4600rpm, I have never opened up the engine because it is new. Here is a picture of what is on there now. Oh yeah that is not a duo prop its just a cover.

Ew, god, dude.. you REALLY need to think about sanding that outdrive down and refinishing it and replacing your anodes.

Your boat should cruise at around 28-30mph with the factory 14.5x19 prop anywhere from 3200-3500rpms. You can get the Solas Amita 3 14.X21 pitch prop for $120 shipped off iboats. It would be safe to say you could push it with a fresh engine and put you in the low 30s.

You can buy a stainless Solas. Modern alum props are far superior to OEM junk. A solas aluminum is equal to a volvo penta stainless pretty much. Michigan Wheel props are hit and miss on the reviews but Solas never gets a bad one. You won't notice a difference between a Solas Alum or SS of the same pitch. Only your wallet will, you can buy 3 Al's for the price of one SS. It's really nice to have a spare when gone for the weekend.

Personally if you're set on SS, get the $100 14x21 Solas... Test it out around the block, if it works great and does exactly what you want... ebay it or put it on here forsale for $100 shipped and get the SS version for $300. You're out $20 instead of maybe $$$ if the 21 pitch was too much and you go back down to a factory 19.

IF 21 will do you good. Considering it's the next step up from factory I don't see why not, especially since you have a fresh engine. I really don't see why it wouldn't work good if factory was 14x19.

Standard, clockwise, right hand.

I went from a 19 to a 21 on my boat in the last week. Much, much better. Volvo penta SX is volvo penta SX. Doesn't matter the HP, engine, boat size or brand they all take the same prop (unless it's twin engine). You just choose the pitch and how many blades.
