Unvieled yesterday at the Miami Boat Show. Following the design trend of their H210, H230, S215, etc.

That's a very deep sklocker!

I still don't like all the squareness and I still don't like the overall appearance from a distance. But the enhancements in the bow area are very nice. The head & arm rests are unconventional but a good idea IMO. The windlass is long overdue. Love the side walkthrough too. Thanks for posting this.

I'm with you Mike, I'm kind of glad I got my 2011. The windlass is a neat idea and I'm always wishing I had one everytime I throw my front anchor, but in truth, I'd rather have a front ladder. Also, there is NO way I'd use a sink in the head. In fact, as you know, I don't have a head.....I have a beer locker. Also, did you see a wet bar/sink??? They had a side seat there instead. Where in the hell are you going to plug in the blender if you only have a seat??? As for the walk-through, I flat love the way it is now through the middle and glad I don't have the other. What's that old saying about fixing things that aren't broke?

I love the enhancements in the Bow. You can see how ergonomic even the bow filler cushions are. Love the windlass too, I'd never beach the boat, so a front ladder is useless to me. Not so usefull is the rear sunning pad, I definitely prefer the rear facing seat with foldown pad if you really wanted to suntan

<edit>Frenchie is wearing a really nice watch, a Panerai

It's an option and not on the boat in the video.

"Optional windlass with anchor roller and cockpit refreshment center" according to the press release.

Beautiful boat and beautiful lines. I love the sink in the toilet area. Much much more sanitary and private. Nobody needs to see you wash poo off your hands.

I really glad to see boat design finally get modern. Look at a 2012 Bayliner models and the biggest bow rider they got. In design, it's actually pretty identical to a 2003 era Four Winns. The 185BR is actually less stylish and looks older then my 2000 H180. Looks plastic and cheap.

Not everyone is accustomed to change. We've had the same boat designs since the early 90s... Four Winns finally took a leap and stepped into the "now". I LOVE IT!

I really like the bow changes...I think whatever is put in the walkthru transom floor storage better be something you don't need often...one door opens left and other right...wear a hard at to get in there...I would a choked him for popping those black sole dogs all over my seats...funny how you cringe watching things on someone else's ride.

Yeah I assumed the windlass is an option, but at least now it's an option. I like having a front ladder, but in 7 years it's been used exactly twice, both times while the boat was on the trailer.

They have this special paper that helps with that...

Don't like the square/linear shape. Don't want dark trim on seats-- blistering. Don't like the head. I like the bow cushion set up. Not sure about the walk thru. I still like my model better. The windlassed anchor and compartment are nice. Was the swim platform not as deep?

Well, it all looks nice to me, but it is not my cup of tea. I personally am a fan of big sport boats/cuddys. If I decide to make a change (and I am not planning to any time soon as I LOVE my current boat), it looks like I will be going to Cobalt or Formula for my next boat.

Overall, I like the styling. Love the lines and love the amount of storage. A couple of things though. 1 - Why no fiberglass/aluminium arch on a boat this size? It would fit nice with the lines and serve a purpose for wakeboarding and a stylish camper enclosure. Maybe that's coming as an option. 2 - On a boat this size, there should be a "real" head. Those porta potty's with 2 1/2 gallons are useless. They're decent enough to allow chicks to pee without getting wet and maybe they're good for an emergency deuce, but there doesn't seem to be any reason why they couldn't opt for the full vacu-flush system with a larger holding tank. I like the location of the walk-thru, but we all know you're not going to lift that heavy a** sun pad every time you want to enter the boat. You're just going to resort to walking over the sunpad. I'd prefer a fixed walk-thru.

I like the bow-alot...not enough to buy it but its well done. I'm going to customize an igloo to serve as bow fill cushion on my 210. Move hinges and snaps to the ends and get the local upholstry shop to make cushion. Tired of the rear seat reach under plus a little more weight up front and closer to all to access. Will post pics if it doesn't look like hell.

I looked at some of the newer FWs at the boat show. And as a backyard mechanic of some 40 years worth, I'd like to have a few words with the genius who put the rear walk through on the starboard side, which makes the engine compartment very narrow on that side. Now anyone who has even looked at a small block Chevy engine once, in its 57 years of production, knows the starter is on that side. And anyone who has ever owned an I/O longer than 5 years or so, knows that sooner or later, the starter has to be changed. Well lots a luck, you can't even get your hand on it and even to pull the drain plug on that side, is a struggle. I bet mechanics will want to take a sawzall to that fiberglass back there. The boats that have the walk through on the center of the rear sun pad have a much wider compartment. I know most of you will never pull a starter but then don't complain when it takes 5 hrs of labor at 110/hr to get it done.

I like the storage, I think the new boxey lines will grow on me. What I especially liked was the sexy 70's adult film music that was played in the intro and at the end of the video!!!!!

"Brown Chicken, Brown Cow!!!"

Overall I am pleased see change they have made.... I am not a big fan of square looking finished on their new model... Biggest issue is my wife is not crazy about their new design...... The judgment day might come sometimes this year... 260 or E6.... We shall see... Image
