 Post subject: Walk Through Windshield

Hi All, my walk through windshield leaks like crazy and I'd like to stop putting bowls under it. I know I need to replace the rubber that holds the glass in the frame as it's all dried up and shrunken. My questions are:

1. How do you remove the walk through section of the windshield? I see a small plastic clip in the middle of the 'hinge' but don't know how to get it out.
2. Anyone done this and what rubber did you use? I tried to go directly to Taylor, but their explaination of the options was horrible.

I have more pictures, hopefully this will jog someones memory. I want to separate the hinge if I can, sort of like pulling the pin on a door hinge, except this has no pin.

A look at the end of the hinge:
