I have the 2007 version of this boat with the 5.0 270hp engine. I am very happy with it. The performance has been more then adequate for me. It gets on plane quickly with it jammed full of adults and tows just fine. I am in Mass and I would say that price is very fair especially if the condition is excellent and the hours are reasonable. Our boat was a NH lake boat too and we payed $24k in 2010 with 40 hours on it.

Mibagge,
Only advice I can give is once you make the purchase quit looking at boattrader, craigslist, etc, . It never fails that when I make a purchase a seemingly better deal comes comes up.

If it is the boat you want, buy it and enjoy it

I agree with not obsessing over what you see in ads too much, because that ad only tells you so much, if you go out an actually LOOK at boats, that will show you that not that many are in great condition. Personally I would be most likely to buy a local boat, that I can go back and look at 3-4 times, you see things that way you will not see on the first look-over. That's how I bought my 07 Jeep, drove 4 different ones and that one 3 different times before I decided that it was good enough. Not a big fan of long distance or internet buying for any big ticket used item.
