I know I have seen it before on here, can anyone point me to obtaining my boat's specifications? I would like to have the best cruise rpm and gph type information. I had it saved on my old computer but now I dont have it anymore. Trying to figure out what my next prop will be . Thanks in advance for the help.

Perfect! Thanks that was exactly what I was looking for. I was on the Four Winns site, but I was only finding the owner's manual and not the specs. Now for the million dollar question, what prop to buy next?

I can get to 5000rpm WOT with a 14 1/2" x 19 aluminum prop 3 blade. What will a 14x21 aluminum 4 blade do to my rpm? I want to keep it within the acceptable range and also not bog the engine down too much.

In general changing from a 19 to a 21 will drop your RPMs about 250...however, going from a 3 to a 4 blade also changes surface area, adds some but not a ton but will likely drop your RPMs about 350 total I would guesstimate. I only recommend people change prop sizes if they are trying to accomplish something specific.

Well, I dont care about top end speed, just looking for something to get me on plane faster and have a better handling cruise. Will the four blade not help with pulling a skier or tuber? What are the down sides to the four blade vs three blade props? I figured I would lose some MPH but dont know if there will be more vibration..........

Like Borchick says, you will increase surface area. You also tend to lose diameter, so I have noticed a less net effect in changing blade count. In my case, I went from 19P 3 blade SS to a 21P 5 blade SS. My top end speed and WOT RPM was changed by less than 2 MPH by GPS. However, my hole-shot was completely different, as was my handling in hard turns.

My $0.02.... find the perfomance you are after in a 3 blade prop first; then step to a 4 (ideally step up 1" in pitch). If you are going from 3 blade to a 5 blade prop, I recommend stepping up 2" in pitch. Otherwise you end up with a collection of "unique" props. 3 blades are easy to trade in at most prop shops (undamaged), or sell outright.... and always good to have one as a spare.

Does your 5 blade prop have more or less vibrations than the 3 blade did? The diameter of the four blade I am considering is only 1/2" smaller than the 3 blade I currently have in 19" pitch. I will check 20" for the four blade as well. Thanks!

Nope, no noticable vibration. Sounds like a good step to take, and should give you comparable top-end and RPM performance, with a slight increase in hole-shot. Let us know what you get! Having more punch, the Hi5 requires less trim up for the same amount of bow-lift. I can crank the 3 blade up to the trim limit, and kick up a nice 3ft high rooster tail, but doesn't seem to do squat for performance. Of course, when I launch with the Hi5, everyone in the boat knows, and I stay almost all trim-down for everything.
