It seems I'll be fitting new through hull's, seacocks, valves and hose barb's. I have one problem - I don't know what size they are and my boat is an hour and a half away. Does anyone know the size of the 328 through hull and seacocks for the AC and Generator? The only dimension I do know is the hose clamp on the hose barb is max 1 1/16". My guess is 3/4", but I'd like to be sure.

Thanks,
Steve.

What about calling your dealer. Asking if he has the valves in stock? He could tell you there size.

From the pics you took, can you see any numbers on the valves?

Trying to do to many things at once and my brains not working, I forgot I could look there. Thanks for the reminder!

After looking through the parts list I see FW used brass hose barbs...I find that surprising as I thought they should be bronze?

What is the best sealant to put on the through hull / seacock threads? I was thinking just 3 rotations of teflon tape? of is there something more suited, or more or less thickness of tape?
I don't want to go through this effort and then figure out I didn't seal the threads properly.

I don't think that teflon tape has enough gap filling properties for a through the hull fitting, it's just for threads and you need caulk or adhesive to bed down flanges and washers. 3M and Sikaflex have some very suitable products.

This explains it better than I can: http://www.boatus.com/boattech/casey/35.htm
