Anyone have to replace the transom stereo remote? I can take off the switches above the remote, but the hole is not big enough to get in there and unbolt the remote? Any help? I originally thought I could take off the battery switch panel and reach back there, but there is a wall in between there and the remote leaving no access. Only option I can see is from the engine compartment, I have a hard enough time getting to the genny, let alone being able to squeeze back there, and reach up to the remote...

You are right!! I just thought I could clue you in on the Sony's. I have done it by feeling for it.

You get to it by removing the main power panel in the port gunwale of the cockpit. Run a razor blade around the lip, remove the screws and then pull the whole box toward you. It'll come out far enough to let you get to the transom remote. This is also about the only way to get to the outside sparkplug on the generator. You might consider doing them both at the same time.

If I recall correctly the remote is held on by [ shaped bracket from the back. Either with a single nut in the middle or one on each side (don't have my spare one here). You remove that nut and then the bracket, this will let the remote be removed from the outside.
