you think it came that way from four winns?

mine never worked, tried twice while on long cruise. But have to go offshore and thus it is a hassle and thus easier to get pumped out. We always get pumpedout at dock every week. but still would like to get working. maybe mine is assembed wrong too. i can hear the pump running.

havent wanted to troubleshoot due to the "dirty" nature. Was your fix a very "brown" experience or was it realively easy/clean?

I used to hear the pump working but not suction. Then I have opened it and it is very easy and was clean since no waste was passing trough.

hmmm...I could have the same issue. I hear the pump running, I have seacock open, but nothing pumping out. I will take it apart this weekend and check.

what year is your Vista?

Also great idea from this POST re an inspection port. Our tank monitor has never worked since we got boat. And there are sometimes when we really want to know. worse thing you can do with these things is overflow, which happened onece to us, then you have to replace filter and blow the line to make sure it stays clear. Wasnt a fun job, CODE BROWN!

if you are talking Malta, like in the center of the Mediterranian, then you are living in Paradise! Must be great boating. got any pictures?
