I've been waiting months to find a 2003+ S205 locally forsale so I can kick the tires and see if it suits my needs space wise. I showed them my boat and they fell in love with it, but not sure how much trade they'd give me yet. I'm not big on monthly payments though, I'd rather sell my boat and motorcycle and just pay cash.

That looks really nice; I wish my 245 Sundowner had the blue gel coat rather than the red; I'm sure I can see the red fading in the sunlight as I look at it ; this year I cut and polished it some 6 weeks before it was launched; I could see my reflection in the red gelcoat, very shiny indeed. 4 weeks later it was dull so I had to do it all again !

Yeah, money is nothing but I kinda hate bills. I'd rather sell what I have first.

You only live once dude. That was my attitude when I got my boat. Its something I can spend more time with my family with, and I will make sacrifices in other areas (like selling your motorcycle).

Let the shaggin' begin! You need some different girls, not the same each time, you are a bachelor no?

Name of new boat -> Floating Shaggin' Wagon

I agree with this. I pulled the trigger on a major upgrade as you know.

Buy it, finance it. Sell your boat and the motorcycle. As soon as you do, use the money to pay the loan off.

Well, my goal is to hopefully buy this one with 16g's waiving in my hands.
http://fortmyers.craigslist.org/lee/boa/3016470179.html

but that blue one is close and I just want to walk around in a 205.

The bike's been on ebay for 4 hours, already up to $202. With 6 days and 20 hours to go it looks like it might just do something. It's a 1991 Suzuki RGV 250 with a legal US title BTW. Maybe one of 20 in the USA that's streetable.

Ric, just do it. Financing is cheap as hell and when you sell the other stuff, just pay it off.

You, sir, will have your first stabbin cabin :D

If you go for it bro, I'll give you 2 years and you'll be thinkin bout getting a VISTA 8)

John

It would look funny rolling around in an express cruiser on a 600 acre lake I won't always be on the river. There's quite a few boats on my lake that are comparable in size to the s205, my neighbor being one with a Regal 2120 that it will be docked next to. The regal is 4in shorter in total height, 5 inches shorter in length, and 4 inches wider.

I've always said that recreational stuff needs to be paid for in full at time of purchase or you are looking at something you can't afford.....that's why I bought my current boat and financed it:-) :-) :-)

Buy it..finance it....sell your boat and MC and put that money in savings.

Take it one step at a time ric. Find out what they will give you for a trade, spend the time negotiating. If it acts as a good downpayment and you have a bit left to finance, then that's not so bad. Sell the bike and put it towards the loan.

Like Blue said, ya only live once, and you can't take the money with ya!

Maybe I'll go check it out today work is dead slow. Like I said, I really don't plan on buying that blue one, it's a salty boat and expensive. The tan one is fresh water and 2k cheaper. I just want to go walk around in it. I never seen an s205 in person. Bike has 6 days to go and is at 2k. I'm expecting at least 8 from it.
