Anyone had factory personnel do work on their ZF Marine transmissions?
I had someone from ZF align mine after the dealer took WEEKS to never get it right. Trouble is they've now closed that office (on Kent Island) and I can't find the guy. I can't recall his name, but he was a short, stocky fellow. If you've met him you'll know exactly who I'm talking about. It was a surprise seeing him clamber right down into the space behind the transmission on my 348.
Anyway, I'd like to find him to see about helping get my 348 fixed. I think we hit something underwater last week (storms lately) and now my starboard V-drive trans is making very bad noises, even when in neutral. In gear I'm getting a wicked amount of drive-line vibration. This could be just the prop, and I do have a spare. But the trans noise is there even in neutral so it's likely gotta come out.
I'd love to find this guy again, so if you know a name or have contact info please let me know!
Thanks, -Bill
