Heading to Table Rock Lake (Branson, MO) in a 13 days. Has anyone been there recently and how is the lake?

This year will be our 9th trip down there and it is always a great time. We'll hit all the cliffs, the swings, Cow Creek Cove, lots of tubing and wake boarding.

We stay at Dooley Lodge (Formally Crow's Nest) on Indian Point.

Our group is always looking for new places where we can boat to and eat, anyone know of any besides Ahoys, Breaded Clam and Big Cedar?

Anyone try the new place just south of the 86 Bridge?

Can't wait, Thanks for any tips.

Shawn

I have some family going down there in August. Unfortunately I was not able to make the trip this year.

We usually stick to the LOTO but our little 18' boat gets beat on pretty bad. I have heard (not sure if it's true) that TR is a nicer lake and less crowded. I would be interested in hearing more about the cliffs, swings, and whatever else you do on the lake down there. I think next year my family will plan a trip to TR to check it out.

We drive right through LOTO because our 22' isn't big enough.

We drive the extra 2 hours and it is very nice. Your boat could go anywhere, anytime at Table Rock. There are two or three different cliffs that have swings and or cliffs to jump off. Depending on water level they can range from 10'-50'. I have never seen a "party cove" like I hear about in the Ozarks. But the water is way smoother and cleaner.

It is the right lake for our family.

I'm heading there in about a month. Haven't heard anything about it this season outside of it being completely normal; clean and same crowds as usual. It is such a huge lake that you can get away from what crowds there are. It also does quite well with wind because of the large bluff/cliffs on the banks and the winding nature of the lake.

LOTO is a latrine. The water always looks like just that. It is overcrowded and full of morons. It continues to amaze me that TRL has not suffered the same fate over the years but it has not. Yet.
