I would like a spare key for the cabin door (2004 Four Winns 268 Vista). I have been to WalMart and Ace Hardware but they do not have a blank to make the key. Does anyone know where I can get a spare key made. Or can I try to locate a Four Winns dealer and get one from them?

Thanks in advance...

I had mine rekeyed and made at a Locksmith. It cost me $17 for the re-key and 4 keys made.

I'm not sure what type of key the Vista uses but the one for my Sundowner was a unique key. It has a very large square head and a smallish key. Finally found a locksmith that had the correct blank and had 4 copies made. Didn't cost my any more than a normal key copy but had to look around to find the right locksmith that had them.

Can you post a pic of that key for the Sundowner, 97_245_sd? The previous owner of mine lost it and I would like to get one made....

No, a picture wont help.

Remove the locks and bring them IN to the locksmith. They will rekey it. I paid $17 for 4 keys and both of my companionway locks rekeyed at my local locksmith.

I know a locksmith cant duplicate a key from a pic, I wanted a pic to see if the locksmith might have the right kinda blanks, thus avoid what he went through in searching for a locksmith with the right blanks...

I'll look to see if I have a spare set of keys at home tonight. Otherwise it will be next weekend before I can post a pic.

Don't waste your time at a locksmith. I've been to this movie twice. On the other side of that key is a 3 digit code. Call ANY boat dealer that deals with cruisers. Tell them the code for the key and they should have it.

Go to Mobellakeys.com and I think you will find the keys you are looking for.
I was able to get new ones, from them, when I had my V248.
