My local dealer has taken on another line of boats and seems to not be as helpful with FW parts.

Do you guys have favorite dealers for online shopping?

I have Done some google searches and searches here on this site, but not coming up with info that is helpful yet.
Need dealers that are in business and will do do Internet shopping

Whoever has it the cheapest. I do google shopping searches, iboats, amazon, ebay, and if I can stand it being used: craigslist.

I am after authorized four winns dealers, but thanks for reply.

Should have been more clear. Want to order parts from four winns factory, they only deal with there dealer network. As my local dealer is not being helpful, looking for someone here that knows of dealer that is willing to help out.

Specificly trailer parts, since FW builds there own, no one locally has or cares to look at competitors product. Starting to consider custom made trailer from local shop.....

What parts are you specifically seeking for the trailer? Four Winns welded the structure together but they did not make the axles, hubs, brakes, winch, lights, etc. and are all available in the aftermarket. Just take pics of what you need and we'll tell you where to order it. If the actual frame of the trailer needs work you'll have to bring it to a welding shop.

You could e-mail FW and ask them who makes the components you need and then search to see where you can buy those things. I do buy stuff internet (some trailer stuff, some OMC engine parts) but I still buy some stuff locally, because when you need something in a hurry, sometimes the local guy has it and saves the day. I have 2 local trailer part suppliers, one ex-OMC dealer that sells parts and another independent place that can order Sierra aftermarket stuff for me. That way I am pretty much covered.

Quality Trailers built the four Winns trailer components. I use TJ Trailer & Supply in Ogden for any replacement parts. 8016270885

Thanks for info. Will contact tomorrow.

LouC, we have a couple local supply houses and trailer MFG. But have no found any one in salt lake will repair or replace rectangular tube axle, they want me to replace both axles with round tube axles. Not going to invest that into this old of a trailer. If I am to shell out $1000 plus, going to have one built.

Thanks for all suggestions and help. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your boating season. .

If you want to have axles built, look up Champion Trailers in Slidell La. They can make any kind of axle to your specs with spindle lube axles, and galvanized. I think price wise 5200 axles depending on style (straight, drop, etc) run about 350 or so, 3500 axles are cheaper, and that's for galvanized not painted. I had one made about 8 years ago for my old Load Rite (3500 straight galvanized) and back then they did it for 130! And great quality.

Round/square really doesn't matter... they don't have to match

Your opinion differs from what I am getting from trailer manufactures.

I think I prefer to have them match anyway.

The ones Champion makes are all square, 1/4" thick galvanized steel. You have to give them the spring center dimensions and the hub to hub dimensions.

I would also stick with what you have if you are only replacing one, because the dimensions of the round axle may be different and that might change the height of the axle above the spring.

Round/square no difference on attaching them to the trailer they don't require different springs. Mixing and matching the two makes zero difference as far as the trailer is concerned but cosmetically it might drive people with OCD insane.

I used Sturdy Built Trailer Parts when I "rebuilt" my trailer (new brakes, hubs, springs, bolts, U-bolts) and would recommend them to anyone. They ship the same day and their customer service was very good. I believe they sell square-tube axles. Their website is: http://www.sturdybuiltonline.com/

Prices look great, but they only show upto a 3500lbs axle. I am in need of a 6k lbs, but good info
Thanks to those that gave some options for me to check out
